9 DIY Citrus Body Scrubs That Scream Warm Weather

I love the way citrus smells!  It’s bright and fresh smelling, clean and comforting, all at the same time.  I am not going to lie; I love the way citrus smells so much, that I would use a citrus-scented body scrub year around, not just during the warmer months.  But, if you want to get into the spirit of spring and summer, there is no better way to do it than with a citrus-scented body scrub.  And what makes all of these scrubs even more exceptional is that they use all natural ingredients (many that you probably have in your kitchen right now!) and can be made for just a few cents.  Sound good?  Well, then let’s get started!  Here are nine of the very best citrus-scented body scrubs there are:

DIY Homemade Margarita Body Scrub

I am sooo excited for warm weather, and this article is perfect! I can't wait to use these all-natural, diy body scrubs for spring and summer. I love citrus smelling things!

I love citrus, and I loooove the way a margarita smells!  Is anyone familiar with Philosophy’s Senorita Margarita shower gel?  Well, here is a DIY sugar scrub version that you can make.  And, it contains nothing but real food ingredients.  So in case you run out of margarita mix, you can use this scrub instead. (That was a joke, FYI.  In terms of a margarita recipe, this is not a real substitute for margarita mix.)

From The Sweetest Occasion.

Homemade Mandarin Body Scrub

This sweet smelling scrub doesn’t just have a lovely scent.  It is also packed full of Vitamins C & E.  Plus, if you have a bag of Cuties at your house, I bet you could make this scrub right now!

From Craftberry Bush.

Sweet Tea Sugar Scrub

The first time I used this scrub, I almost fell over.  I am originally from the South, and sweet tea is a way of life.  I no longer drink it because of the empty calories, but I can get my fix anytime with this totally amazing scrub.

From Simply Southern Sunshine.

Citrus Nectarine Body Scrub

If you want a sweeter smelling scrub and not something that is full-on citrus, then you really need to try this scrub.  It smells absolutely divine and is super moisturizing to boot!

From Kale & Caramel.

Homemade Lemon Mint Sugar Scrub

Lemon and mint is one of my all-time favorite essential oil combinations!  I just adore it!  If you love mint and lemon together too, then you really need to try this scrub.  It’s perfect for using after a day at the beach.

From Glue Sticks & Gum Drops.

Grapefruit Sugar Scrub

This grapefruit scrub gets its fragrance from grapefruit essential oil.  It also uses pink food coloring, but if you don’t have natural food coloring, you can always omit it.

From CraftingE.

Make-It-Yourself Lemon Sugar Scrub

If you are looking for a pure lemon-scented scrub, then this is the one you need to try.  It smells exactly the way a lemon body scrub should, and if you are looking for even more lemon power (say you need help waking up in the mornings), you can always add a drop or two of lemon essential oil.

From A Pretty Life in the Suburbs.

Whipped Grapefruit Mint Sugar Scrub

This recipe calls for grapefruit, grapefruit juice, and grapefruit essential oil.  It doesn’t get any more grapefruit-scented than that!  So if you adore grapefruit as much as I do, you are really missing out if you don’t make this scrub!

From The Kitchen McCabe.

Lemon Poppyseed Cookie Homemade Scrub

So no, this isn’t the prettiest body scrub in the list, but if you love the way baked goods smell and you want to smell like a lemon cookie, then you gotta try this scrub.  Plus, you’ll also benefit from extra scrubbing action; this scrub uses sugar and cornmeal as exfoliants.

From The Chalkboard Mag.

A Word About Curated Posts

The above is a curated post. Some people call them round-ups, but I like the phrase “curated post” a lot better because I have spent hours putting each of these lists together. I have been a Pinterest junkie for years, and I am always looking for the newest or best or most interesting DIY project out there. Finding these items, testing them, and then using them on a daily basis is so much fun AND, I have discovered, helps save me money.
