5 All-Natural, DIY Must-Have Sprays Guaranteed to Make You a Summer Goddess

May 15, 2017 By MamaMillason 1 Comment

When I was in college, I worked at a camp every single summer as a counselor.  I loved everything about it, even buying all of the personal care supplies that I would need to get through the sweltering heat.  Bug spray?  Check.  Aloe vera gel?  Check.  Then I would go home and organize everything, eager for the first day of camp to begin.  The last time I worked as a counselor was fourteen years ago, but I still find myself getting excited at the start of each summer.  So if you are like me and are excited for warmer weather to begin as well, then you need to check out these five all-natural DIY must-have sprays guaranteed to make you a summer goddess.  I promise!

DIY Sea Salt Hair Spray

Personally, depending on what I am doing for the day and how hot it is outside, I hate the thought of having to blow-dry my hair.  I would much rather prefer to let it air dry.  That doesn’t mean, however, that I want it to dry whichever way so that I end up looking like a crazy person.  That’s why I love this Sea Salt Hair Spray.  It giver your hair body and texture all while allowing it to dry naturally.  Fabulous!

Heat Wave Peppermint Spray

If you are going to be outside for a sporting event or at an amusement park, then you gotta make this peppermint spray.  It will instantly cool you down and make you feel nice and fresh.  Just remember to use it sparingly; it is super effective, meaning that if you use too much you’ll feel crazy tingly.  Lol!

After Sun Spray

Getting a sunburn is the worst!  That’s why you need this after sun spray.  It’ll soothe your skin and also encourage it to heal quicker.  Consider also layering this with all-natural aloe vera gel so that you get double the healing power.

Easy DIY Tan Body Shimmer Spray

Hopefully,  you know that the sun’s rays have been proven to cause skin cancer and premature aging, and so you have decided to NOT lay out this summer and get a tan.  But, just because you know the dangers of the sun doesn’t mean you aren’t still wanting to look tan. Right?  That’s why you need this tan body spray.  It isn’t a self-tanner; the effect is totally temporary.  Plus, its got awesome shimmer to boot, meaning that you won’t just look tan but like you’ve got a healthy glow as well.

DIY Herbal Suncream

Speaking of the sun, no summer spray list would be complete without sunscreen!  If you are looking for an all-natural, DIY sunscreen recipe, then look no further.  This recipe has a lot more ingredients that some of the others in this list, but it is well worth it.  Not only will you get a super effective physical sunscreen but also an extremely moisturizing lotion.  Nice!

A Word About Curated Posts

The above is a curated post. Some people call them round-ups, but I like the phrase “curated post” a lot better because I have spent hours putting each of these lists together. I have been a Pinterest junkie for years, and I am always looking for the newest or best or most interesting DIY project out there. Finding these items, testing them, and then using them on a daily basis is so much fun AND, I have discovered, helps save me money.

I am using DIY Sea Salt Hair Spray. Sea salt spray works best on the ends and mid-lengths on your hair. Lightly spritz it on the ends of your hair and shake your hair or scrunch it up in your hands to encourage the curl. Spray lightly. Sea salt spray adds texture to your hair so is perfect for fine hair.
