Okay, so I feel like a really terrible blogger. I know that has nothing to do with essential oil supplies, but I feel like I need to say it. I took a month off to spend time with my family and have a meaningful Christmas. So while I feel like a terrible blogger, I don’t regret my decision at all because I was choosing to be a good wife and mom instead. Priorities. Its all about priorities.
But now that the holidays are over, it is time to get back into the swing of things, and I know that with the new year, a lot of people have made the resolution to take control of their health and use those essential oils! The problem is that it seems like there are a million different tools, gadgets, and gizmos to use with your essential oils. So here are a few of my must-have supplies for essential oils. If you are going to be successful implementing oils into your daily life, then you need these.
Root and Petal Multicolored Rollerballs
I cannot tell you how much I love these! Has this ever happened to you: you put a rollerball together only to forget later what is in it? Or who it’s for? Or what you are supposed to do with it? I know I have, and it super annoying! Luckily, these Multicolored Glass Roller Bottles take a lot of the guesswork out. You can assign family members different colors. Or designate colors based on conditions and ailments. The possibilities are endless, and that’s why they made it to the top of my must-have supplies for essential oils list!
Olila Essential Oil Key
Yes, I know. You might tell yourself that you don’t need an Essential Oils Opener, but believe me, you do. Trying to remove the inner dropper with your fingers is difficult, and there have been many times that I have tried the dropper hack (see video below) only to fail miserably. One of these keys is just $5.99 on Amazon. Well worth it, in my opinion, if you are looking to minimize frustration in your life.
Uni Posca Ultra Fine Paint Pens
Going back to rollerballs, one of the best hacks I have ever discovered is simply using ultra-fine tip Paint Pens and writing on the glass what’s inside. This is infinitely better than using stickers that wear off or washi tape that gets oily and gross. Try it, and you’ll see what I mean.
Mini Glass Spray Bottles
These Mini Glass Spray Bottles are truly a must-have. They work great for DIY perfumes, mini air fresheners, mouth sprays, travel poo sprays… the list goes on and on. And best of all, they are glass. So if you worry about how certain oils interact with plastic, use these and set your fears aside.
Glass Spray Bottles
Cleaning should be fun, right? I certainly think so! And while there are a million amber-hued and clear spray bottles out there, these Beach Blue Glass Spray Bottles from Rail 19 are truly special. You can just use them for your homemade glass cleaner (if you used to be a fan of Windex), or you can use them for all of your DIY cleaning needs.
Woolzies Dryer Balls
Once I got Wool Dryer Balls, I never looked back. They end up being so much cheaper that dryer sheets in the long run, and you can customize them to any scent you like. Some of my favorites are Lavender, Young Living’s Peace and Calming, and DoTERRA’s Serenity.
Epsom Salt
If you don’t currently have a bag of Epsom Salt in your house, you need one! Not only is it great for detox baths (check out a bunch of awesome recipes here), but you can also fill a glass jar with epsom salt, place your empty oil bottles inside, wait a few days, and voila! Every last drop will have been absorbed by the salt. No more worrying that your precious oils have gone to waste. Then, you can use the saturated salt the next time you soak in the tub. Cool, right?
Anchor Hocking Glass Jar
Here is the jar I like to use for the aforementioned epsom salt trick, but it is also awesome for DIY cleaning wipes, homemade laundry detergent, and baby wipes, all with essential oils, of course!
The Essential Life Book
There are lots of essential oil reference books out there, but I happen to think that The Essential Life Book is the best. It is super easy to navigate, both by the oil and by the condition. Plus, it is jam-packed with essential oil recipes and uses.
Itovi Scanner
Sometimes you might choose to incorporate a particular essential oil if you know it is good at something (like reducing the signs of aging or killing bacteria). But other times, you are probably choosing an essential oil simply because you like its aroma. That’s great and all, but what if there was a way to figure out exactly which essential oils your body needed at that exact moment?
Well, of course there is a way to figure this out. Just grab a stack of essential oil reference guides, study, and memorize them. Then grab some lavender the next time you need a sense of tranquility or orange when you need your spirits lifted. Oh, wait! You don’t have time to memorize a bunch of references books?
No problem! Introducing the Itovi Scanner! It makes figuring out which essential oils you need incredibly easy. All you do is hold the lightweight scanner in your hand, and using the same frequencies that the FitBit does, it measures your body and creates a custom recommendation, by comparing the frequencies of your body with that of each individual essential oil.
The recommendation is then displayed on the smartphone or tablet you have synced up to the scanner. It is incredibly fast, taking only 2-3 minutes to generate a report.
Then, once you have your report, you can create a custom blend for yourself and use it throughout the day.

This is great, thank you.
I like Woolzies Dryer Balls the most. I’ve ordered two packages for me, to try them.
Sascha, let me know how you like them!
They are great, thank you for asking!
But Epsom Salt was really great discovery for me as well. Cleaning the empty essential oil bottles – what a great idea!
